Hyatt Regency Cambridge

Our room was not fully cleaned each day. The bathroom floors/counters were not clean. The coffee area was not cleaned. New cups were left but old cups were left on uncleaned counter with cold coffee in them. Linens on beds not changed unless a call was made to front desk. Room did not have hotel guest information binder as usually found in hotels. When asked for one, I only received a room service menu. Internet service way overpriced. Restaurant did not have much selection and what it had was overpriced. When I came back to the room, I saw that someone drank my water. I did complaint about that to the hotel staff. They did not understand why I was angry.

We encountered friendly, accommodating staff throughout this hotel.

This hotel needs a makeover. The carpet in our room was badly stained and buckled. Bathroom door looked like it hadn't been painted or cleaned in 10 years. Air conditioner sounded like a freight train. They charge $35 a night to park and $15/ day for internet which is free at the lowest end of hotels. Unbeatable view of the St. Charles River and city view of Boston. Be sure to request a room with a balcony when you arrive. Friendly staff goes above and beyond.

I would highly recommend the hotel. The rooms are very large and the hotel is relatively quiet. You will enjoy your stay at the hotel.

Very nice hotel in and of itself, however the location is very problematic as it is not located near convenient public transit, and to park a rental car at the hotel costs an additional $35.00. Also, there is no breakfast included in the room rate, but no coffee shops of any kind near the hotel (closest is a 15 minute walk) so you have no choice but to use the hotel restaurant.
